Welcome to Costessey Junior School

PTA Christmas Fayre 2017

PTA Christmas Fayre 2017

The PTA have been very active this half term, holding an all singing, all dancing Christmas Fayre. There were stalls, games, donkeys, refreshments and of course Santa who was ready to get everyone feeling festive. On a cold evening so many people ventured out and into our school to see what was on offer. This was a great event and one which raised over £500. Money which the PTA have previously raised has been well spent on outdoor wear for Reception children and for our forest school groups. Our thanks go to all members of the PTA who’s hard work and dedication make these events happen.

Costessey Junior School PTA Summer Fete June 2017

Fashion Show

Over the half term the PTA held a fashion show at Queen’s Hills Community Centre.  There was a fantastic turn out, and the atmosphere on the night was wonderful.  We held a raffle and had some really great stalls from local businesses selling some lovely gifts for Christmas.  It was a great success and raised £619. Would like to thank all those that came along and supported the event. We hope you enjoy your purchases.

Quiz and Chips

Your new PTA launched this half term with a fantastic evening of Quiz and Chips.  It was very well attended and got quite competitive!!  We would like to thank Mr Coulter for being Quiz master and controlling proceedings brilliantly. The evening raised over £300 for the PTA and gives us a great start to our fund raising efforts.

The next event will be a combined Summer Fete held at Costessey Junior School so please keep an eye out for dates and how you can get involved.  If you have any ideas for this or any other event please contact the PTA through either school or put a suggestion in our new suggestion boxes in the reception areas.

The PTA Has Launched!

At Costessey Junior School we are always looking at ways to improve learning for the children.  We know that working closely with families can have a huge affect on children’s progress in school.  We are in the process of setting up a Parent and Teacher Association to strengthen this link between home and school.  If you would like any information about it or would like to get involved, please contact the school office.

Also please come back and visit this page again soon for more information about the PTA and to find out about future events.
